You get more than just access to our extensive online resources when you are accepted to CD-ED. Here, you are not simply a student – you become part of the CD-ED family. Far from being known as a number, our instructors and guidance counselor will take a personal interest in your progress and will be in touch with you constantly throughout the year, making sure everything is going well with your program and whatever of your home life you wish to share.
Each member of our staff works in-house at our campus in Sydney, Nova Scotia. We do not contract out our instructors like some online colleges do; instead we have a loyal, long-term faculty with a wide range of backgrounds, experience, and knowledge.
Some of the credentials carried by our faculty and staff include: BBA, CIM, IQSM, BA, LPN, A+, ICDL, IC3, MOUS Master, Certified Trainer, CD2, BACS, HSW, and HCW. As a group, our faculty and staff have majors, concentrations, diplomas and certificates in: Office Administration, Computer Accounting, Train the Trainer, Paralegal Technology, Medical Terminology, Professional Secretarial, Customer Service, Student Information Management System, Business Education, Digital Animation, Graphic Design & Web Page Development, Interactive Multimedia Technology, Multimedia & Animation, English, Sociology, and Psychology.
Your instructor will contact you at the start of your program to introduce you to our staff, your student materials, and the support website.
You will have unlimited one-on-one instructor support via email, chat, online classroom webinars and toll-free phone calls throughout your entire program - and beyond. Our instructors have industry experience and can help you understand how to conquer the job market before you go out into it. The instructors will know your learning type and can explain any concept so you can understand it. You're not alone!
You will be encouraged to talk with the CD-ED faculty on a continuous basis so that you may develop a typical student/teacher relationship. In our virtual college, help is only an email or a phone call away!
An instructor will be in touch with you every week or two just to make sure you're progressing at a good pace and will answer any questions you have.
