Are you REALLY Ready for Online Learning?

Despite its multiple benefits, Online Learning is absolutely not for everyone. To make sure you have what it takes, take the following quiz.

Be honest with yourself and your level of knowledge in each area. If you aren't able to say for sure you can meet at least 8 of the following 10 checkpoints, you might want to look at trying a free online course first to get a feel for it. You could also try a basic computer course at a local community college if the program you're interested in has a pre-requisite.

Technical Questionnaire

Choose Yes, Some, or No depending on your level of ability for each question.

CAN YOU:

1

Use an Internet browser?

2

Send and receive email with attachments?

3

Troubleshoot basic software and hardware problems?

4

Gain convenient access to a computer and a reliable Internet connection?

5

Download and install software and plug-ins?

6

Use software to create documents?

Personal Questionnaire

ARE YOU:

7

Self-motivated and comfortable working alone?

8

Well organized?

9

Able to set aside time each week for class assignments?

10

Willing to ask for help when you need it?

So, how did you do? Do you feel confident in your ability to do this?

Now, talk to your family and friends. Can they promise their support while you study? Sure there might be long hours, but just think how much better it will be when you can go to a job you’re highly trained for, one you actually like; a job that doesn’t suck the life out of you. Your support system will help you get through the times when you will sit at your computer for hours at a stretch, or when you work all day and do homework after supper.

If you like, you can submit your answers to your admissions representative, who can talk to you about where to go from here. Just fill in your name and email and press the Send button below!
