A comprehensive look at business essentials, this module includes hundreds of examples of Canadian business practices with an emphasis on social responsibility, small business, communication technologies, and globalization.
Business math is more than just arithmetic and algebra - it's about procedures. We'll provide the formulas and procedural details to help you understand the practical business applications of math including when, where and why you will use acquired skills.
This module provides you with the critical tools and analytical skills to review accounting information and make solid business decisions. You will be exposed to real-life company case studies, problems and solutions.
Learn how to produce information that is useful in day-to-day decision making. You will be encouraged to think about, evaluate, and apply the various practices real companies use. You will be shown the application of theory to real-world companies & situations.
You will become proficient in operating Simply Accounting, an integrated computerized accounting application. You will learn to design and operate a computerized accounting system for a small business.
You will gain the skills and knowledge of the key concepts of management – planning, organizing, leading, and controlling – how they are relevant in life outside the office, and how to apply them in a management position.
You will be provided with a case study and be required to identify problems and provide solutions inherent within the study. Skills from all modules will be tested in this final project module.
