Review basic English structures and learn proper professional communication skills. Learn key terminology and technology associated with computers, including computer hardware and software, file management and network technology.
We'll teach you the workings of the latest Windows operating system, including using the desktop, managing files and folders, and using the Windows Help & Support.
Provides a step-by-step introduction to all aspects of the Internet. Topics covered include browsers, searching techniques, and email.
You will learn how to create and format a wide variety of business documents from a simple business letter to a formal report, using columns, tables, bullet lists, and mail merge among other formatting tools; you will be able to embed objects from other applications, check spelling and grammar, and use tools to automate tasks.
You will start with the fundamentals of creating a database, including defining a table structure, entering records and previewing tables. You will then advance to restructuring tables and using query statements to create reports. To finish this course, you will have the exciting challenge of building a case study database from start to finish.
You will learn basic calculations to complex financial and mathematical formulas using Excel. You will go from learning how to create and edit a worksheet to developing "real world" workbooks and charts for "companies." The focus will be on how indispensable spreadsheets are to accounting practices in today's businesses.
This course will provide you with the basic skills to produce effective presentations. Working with text and objects, you will also learn how to plan, define, create, and modify presentations and to create an on-screen slide show.
This is an instructional program designed to give you a high degree of flexibility and success in meeting your goals for effective typing skills. The solid theoretical basis you will obtain with this course enables you to transfer your skills to any computerized business environment. Exercises are designed to help you achieve a speed of 50wpm by the end of the program.
You will learn the fundamentals of filing through a series of instructions, exercises, and quizzes using a mini filing system which simulates business documents that would be found in a professional office.
