Business math is more than just arithmetic and algebra - it's about procedures. We'll provide the formulas and procedural details in a step-by-step format to help you understand the practical business applications of math.
Spreadsheets
9 weeks; 180 hours; 6 projects; 1 exam
You will learn basic calculations to complex financial and mathematical formulas using Excel. You will go from learning how to create and edit a worksheet to developing "real world" workbooks and charts for "companies." The focus will be on how indispensable spreadsheets are to accounting practices in today's businesses.
Manual Accounting
12 weeks; 240 hours; 11 projects; 1 exam
You will develop a solid understanding of the accounting equation, concepts of debits and credits, the accounting cycle for service and merchandising firms, accounting for partnerships and corporations, and accounting for receivables and payables and the use of special journals.
Simply Accounting
16 weeks; 320 hours; 10 projects
You will become proficient in operating Simply Accounting, an integrated computerized accounting application. You will learn to record and process transactions in the general, payables, receivables, payroll, inventory, and project modules of the Simply Accounting system. The goal of this module is to allow you to design and operate a computerized accounting system for a small business.
